2008 Emissions Testing Schedule

Times 10AM to 2PM at the Express Oil & Service Center locations and Texaco Xpress Lube locations in Jefferson and Shelby Counties. Please note program details below the schedule.

* All Emissions Testing Locations are subject to change due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.

** Qualified Repairs under the pilot program is determined by the emissions test.  Below are the acceptable exhaust emission readings:

Carbon Dioxide (CO2): 13 – 16%

Carbon Monoxide (CO): less than 0.5%

Oxygen (O2): less than 1.5%

Hydrocarbons (HC): less than 50 ppm

Nitrogen Oxides (NOX): less than 50 ppm
Also, please note the vehicle to be tested must be driven at least 10 minutes in order to get accurate results.  Cold vehicle engines will not give accurate readings.

*** Qualified repairs under this program are to be determined by the pilot shops through diagnostics or other means.

**** The Car Care Program pays 80% of the qualified repairs, up to a maximum of $1,000.00. Your responsibility will be 20% or $200 maximum. To qualify for this program the car can not be older than 15 years. If you choose to make other repairs beyond the qualified repairs under this program, the excess cost will be your responsibility.

***** Vehicles that are currently under manufacturers warranty or other extended warranties do not qualify. Mufflers are not qualified for this program.
