AIR QUALITY GUIDE FOR OZONE

During ozone season, which runs from April 1st through September 30th, meteorologists use the color-coded chart below to forecast air quality. Called the AQI (air quality guide), the chart indicates the ozone levels and the health impacts of each.

No health impacts are anticipated on green days.

People sensitive poor air should limit their time outdoors.

Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups |
101-150 |
Air Quality Alert: The air is forecasted to be unhealthy for outdoor activities. Elderly, children and those with respiratory problems should stay indoors.

151-200 |
Air Quality Alert: Everyone should limit outdoor activities.

Very Unhealthy |
201-300 |
Air Quality Alert: Everyone should stay indoors. |
